DESCRIPTION:Join Outdoor UW for another informative course in the&nbsp\;Out
 door Explorer Series (OES).&nbsp\; Learn and practice a new skill that wil
 l make you more comfortable and excited for your next adventure!&nbsp\; OU
 TDOOR EXPLORER SERIES: Intro to Adaptive Kayaking (NEW CLASS) The focus of
  this class is to learn about how you can use and support others who have 
 limited mobility in an custom adaptive kayak. Hoofer Outing Club and Outdo
 or UW have access to a custome tandem Adaptive Kayak that is avaialble for
  rental\, however it is often challenging to get it out and used by those 
 that need it becuase only a few people know how it works. During this OES 
 course we will cover the specifics of this craft and get some preactice pa
 ddling it. Once you take this course&nbsp\;and feel like you know how to u
 se this kayak we can add your name to the short list of people who can use
  this boat and serve and an aide for those who want to use it.&nbsp\; Upon
  completion of this class\, participants will: Know the history of adaptiv
 e kayaking&nbsp\; Learn a little more about how this boat came into the po
 ssession of Hoofers/Outdoor UW&nbsp\; Learn about the checkout system for 
 this boat&nbsp\; Get hands-on experience with this boat and all of the fea
 tures&nbsp\; --- Class is located in the Mendota Lodge on the water level 
 of Memorial Union (along the lakefront and across from the Outdoor UW offi
