DESCRIPTION:Can’t stand staring at a screen? Why not try writing on a typ
ewriter? Join us for an afternoon of writing. This drop-in event is an inv
itation to explore the materiality of early typing using historic typewrit
ers from a range of eras. Visitors will be provided with a few writing pro
mpts and are encouraged to write whatever makes sense to them. What does s
haring your thoughts look and feel like without digital prompts and pop-up
  reminders? Come try it out!\n\nCONTACT: 262-1162\, cdmc@sohe.wisc.edu\n\n
