Description
He Yin, a post-doctoral fellow at UW-Madison will discuss his research on the role socio-economic factors play in land use systems, wildlife habitats, and cropland abandonment, especially in post-war areas such as Chechnya and Ingushetia. The goal of the project discussed in this presentation was to understand the long-term land use and land cover changes in the Caucasus using satellite imagery time series from 1985-2015.
