					Description
						
								Art History Department exhibition comprising about 50 photographs and 12 icons from Mount Athos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northeastern Greece.  Mount Athos is home to over 2000 Eastern Orthodox Christian monks and includes twenty historic monasteries, some of which date back to the 10th century.  The exhibition focuses on monastic life, sacred landscapes, architecture and icons of Mount Athos.
