Wunk Sheek hosts Dr. Kyle T. Mays (Black/Saginaw Anishinaabe). Dr. Mays is a transdisciplinary scholar and public intellectual of urban U.S. history, Critical Ethnic Studies, and Indigenous popular culture. He is currently a faculty member for the UCLA department of African American Studies. He is a published author, including his newest book, Hip Hop Beats, Indigenous Rhymes: Modernity and Hip Hop in Indigenous North America.
