Changing the way our world is powered

An engaging, dynamic speaker, Tom Werner (BSIE '82) is chairman and CEO of SunPower, a world-leading manufacturer of solar for residential, commercial and utility applications. He's extremely passionate about solar and, in a 2013 talk on campus, noted that solar is more practical that many people think and has the potential to "disrupt" the energy industry. Werner is the inaugural speaker in the College of Engineering Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series.
