Description
The current conditions and challenges in Puerto Rico have developed from a complex set of events that should serve as an example for the necessary changes that are required for future disaster response in the U.S. Especially for Puerto Rico, the specific set of needs is unique and for many cases those needs are in contrast to the typical U.S. State. These challenges will be presented and include transportation network deficiencies, outward migration, and long-term recovery efforts.
