Laura Albert, Associate Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering, will discuss how to use advanced analytical methods to rank sports teams and forecast the College Football Playoff. She will also provide tips for picking a winning bracket in the upcoming NCAA basketball tournaments. She will discuss how engineers use data-driven methodologies, such as those for bracketology, to solve real-world systems engineering problems.
