Art Department Tuesday Talks

Charles Long will speak of his sculptures, which explore the abstract autonomous art object as a psychological investigation into the nature of self and others. Long's sculptures are made from diverse media such as coffee grounds, rubber and hair from Abraham Lincoln. Long has also collaborated with pop musicians such as Stereolab, Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo and with the renowned choreographer Merce Cunningham.
