Whenever possible, the university recommends that events and meetings continue to be held virtually; it is highly recommended that in-person events also allow for virtual participation by attendees who choose not to or are unable to participate in person. Madison World Music Festival Presented By Wisconsin Union Theater Oyme | Workshop: 3pm | Concert 7:45pm Having performed at the largest international festivals - WOMAD, Wild Mint, Creation of the World and Movement, Oyme t akes the Erzya and Moksha musical folklore traditions as a basis, while experimenting with contemporary musical styles. They recreates the traditions and customs of the Mordovians, meshed with pop fusion, percussion, progressive electronic sound, or a symbiosis of folklore tradition with the rock and classical drum kit. On the basis of their own ethnographic expeditions, the members of OYME reconstruct ancient rituals and national holidays, which are often interactive with the audience.
