What cartoon zebra mussels taught me about invasive species communication

This informal talk about science communication is part of Wisconsin Sea Grant's "Lake Talks" series. Sea Grant Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Outreach Specialist Tim Campbell will talk about how metaphors—such as aquatic invasive species as “hitchhikers” or “invaders”—affect how people perceive the issues, and how certain metaphors pose ethical issues or may not lead to productive engagement. The one-hour event is free, open to all, and will include time for audience questions.
