The Vitalist Current in Danish Literature at the Turn of the Century

Anders Ehlers Dam is a postdoc in Danish Literature at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. The subject of vitalism is prominent in contemporary Danish literature and art. The lecture will primarily discuss the best-known author of the period, Johannes V. Jensen, while also including painters such as Willumsen. Following the lecture will be a reception hosted by the Scandinavian Department and a chance to talk to the speaker.
