Emerging Scholars Speaker Series with Anita Varma

Anita Varma is an assistant professor in the School of Journalism & Media at the University of Texas at Austin. She leads the Solidarity Journalism Initiative, which is housed at the Center for Media Engagement. Dr. Varma’s research, teaching, and professional service focus on helping journalists improve representations of marginalized communities
in news coverage.
