University Opera With Chamber Orchestra

Inspired by the glamorous movie goddesses of the 1950s, University Opera's premiere of Handel's "Alcina" examines issues of sex and power in the context of the waning days of the Hollywood studio system. William Farlow directs and James Smith conducts the chamber orchestra. The cast includes Saira Frank, Jamie Van Eyck, Caitlin Cisler, Jesse Hoffmeister, Justin Niehoff Smith, Anna Slate and guest alumna artist Kassy Coleman.
