Weeks Seminar by Maitri Erwin (Azure for Energy at Microsoft)

This talk outlines some of the advances and challenges in the movement to cloud computing specifically targeted on the subsurface with some illustrative examples around data, high-performance computing, and sustainability. This talk also explores how the future of energy and physical/human infrastructure are heavily dependent on understanding earth systems, and how cross-trained geoscientists who can think of earth problems as systems will only increase in value.
