Description
Professor Moon-Ho Jung (University of Washington-Seattle) will be speaking about his recently published book, Menace to Empire. In his groundbreaking book, Jung argues that the US national security state as we know it was born out of attempts to repress and silence anticolonial subjects, from the Philippines and Hawaiʻi to California and beyond. This profoundly ambitious history exposes the antiradical and colonial origins of anti-Asian racism. The lecture will be followed by a roundtable.
