Spring 2023 Art Department Art Faculty Colloquium

Sarah FitzSimons makes sculpture which interacts with and derives meaning from its surroundings. Much of the work seeks to reconnect our constructed culture with wider patterns of nature, and aims to extend beyond the bubble of the ‘small, nearby and short-term’. During the past 4 years, she’s presented 3 solo exhibitions of her work, and her sculptures have recently been featured in Tatter Journal (Brooklyn, NY), Art Dose Magazine (Sheboygan, WI), and OZ Journal (Kansas State University).
