Description

Visit the recently remodeled space that houses the Writing Center, Writing Across the Curriculum, and the Writing Fellows programs! Our main Writing Center space includes new dedicated stations for writers to meet 1-1 with instructors as well as comfortable writing and study spaces to write individually or with a small group.

Our programs offer consultations for instructors on designing inclusive writing assignments and activities, coaching on assessment and rubric design; individual and group instruction on writing assignments for students at all levels, and curricular-based writing support for students in cross-disciplinary writing courses. We also offer support for community members through partnerships with libraries and community centers across Madison.

Our new space, made possible through an Instructional Laboratory Modernization grant, allows us to meet our growing demand from students and writing instructors, add flexible individual and group workspaces, and meet evolving technology and accessibility demands for the third decade of the twenty-first century. Come see for yourself!
