Outstanding Women of Color Awards Reception
Event Details
The annual Outstanding Women of Color Awards recognize and honor selected women of color among UW–Madison's faculty, staff, students, and the greater Madison community:
- Whose advocacy, activism, or scholarship has fostered social justice and organizational change
- Who have created positive transformation within their institutions and/or the community to achieve the goals of inclusive excellence
- Whose efforts are improving the climate for, or status of, people of color
The goal of the OWOC Awards reception is to celebrate the remarkable work of honorees with their families, friends, and colleagues, and to feel inspired to make similar change in our own communities. The reception is organized by UW–Madison’s Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement (DDEEA).
