IT Connects summer networking event

IT Connects invites all UW–Madison IT employees to take a well-deserved break from Workday implementation preparations and connect with colleagues from across the university in a relaxed lakeside setting.

What to expect

Join us for an afternoon of networking that includes both structured activities and plenty of time for casual conversations. We'll provide snacks while you enjoy the beautiful Terrace overlooking Lake Mendota.

Whether you're looking to meet new colleagues, share experiences from your current projects, or simply take a mental break from your busy schedule, this event offers something for everyone in the IT community.

• When: Monday, June 24, 3pm to 5pm
• Where: Memorial Union Terrace (we'll move to the Rathskeller if it rains)
• Who: All university IT staff
• Cost: Free
• Food: Light snacks provided
• Registration: Appreciated but not required

Getting there

• The Memorial Union Terrace is located at 800 Langdon Street (campus map)
• Parking is available in nearby metered street spots and ramps: HC White Garage (Lot 6) & State Street Campus Garage
• Bus: Plan your Metro trip
• Bicycle: Memorial Union has plentiful bike parking and nearby BCycle stations

Weather backup plan

If rain threatens our outdoor gathering, we'll move the event to Der Rathskeller inside the Memorial Union. Check your email on the morning of June 24 for any location updates.

Inclusive facilities

• The Memorial Union building and Terrace are wheelchair accessible
• Gender-neutral bathrooms: 3 stalls in the Shannon Hall lobby on the 1st floor in the west wing
• Health & lactation room: Room 1210 near the bathrooms on the 1st floor (ask the information desk or call 608-265-3000 to get a key)
