John Knox, Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor of Geography and associate director of atmospheric sciences at the University of Georgia, will discuss his background in clear‑air turbulence (CAT) forecasting as well as initial results from a new research initiative that connects climate change, extreme jet‑stream wind speeds, and concepts from his earlier work.
