Health Insurance Reform: A Big Step or a Small Step? And, in What Direction?

DeVoe is a national expert on access to health care. She has studied the impact of state and national health insurance policy changes on access to care for children and families, and communication in the medical encounter and congruence of satisfaction between providers and patients. A member of the Department of Family Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University, Dr. DeVoe received her MD from Harvard Medical School, and a DPhil in economic and social history from Oxford University.
