Description
Reva Wolf, professor in the Art History Department, SUNY New Paltz, presents this lecture in conjunction with the exhibition “Andy Warhol Photographic Studies.” In a 1980 diary entry, Warhol mischievously suggested that art and photography are two distinct entities. Reva Wolf explores the role of photography in Warhol’s artistic development. Are his thousands of photographs art or documents of his professional and personal life?
