Connecting to your Field: Networking in Academia

One can’t deny that successful academics are often well-connected to others in their field, but how exactly does one approach "networking" in academia? What tools and conventions are associated with its practice? In this panel, faculty will answer student questions about building and maintaining a professional network. Topics will include conferences, blogging and social networking in a professional context, and connecting across fields.
