Week 10: Marlon Burgess, South African MC/Poet and Ph.D. candidate (NYU Graduate School of Arts and Science, Department of Social and Cultural Analysis, American Studies Program) will lecture on “Rhyme, Rhythm & Resistance: Afro-Cosmopolitanism, Art and Public Pedagogy in South Africa’s Social Justice Struggles."
