Materials Science Program Seminar by Prof. Shriram Ramanathan, Harvard Univ.

Disruptive technologies often require new materials or dramatically enhanced materials properties by creating artificial structures. Prof. Shriram Ramanathan will present his ongoing work in the area of phase transitions in correlated oxides and their exploratory applications in solid state devices intersecting advanced communications, information processing and energy conversion. Special emphasis will be on the reversible metal-insulator transition in VO2 and related heterostructures.
