Weston Roundtable Lecture: Dr. Christian Burgsmüeller

The EU has made major progress toward its 2020 greenhouse gas emissions targets; emissions declined 16% while the EU economy grew 40%. The European Commission's “Roadmap for a Competitive Low-Carbon Economy in 2050” looks to reduce emissions by 80-95%. With success, energy efficiency will produce low-energy and low-emission buildings, electric and hybrid cars, better public transport, less air pollution and respiratory disease. Dr. Burgsmueller will describe the Roadmap and its implementation.
