Yiddish Theater Sound Salon

Join Mayrent Institute Director Henry Sapoznik for a sonic tour of the Yiddish stage through rare 78 rpm records from the Mayrent Collection. Sapoznik will discuss long forgotten comics, actors, singers, and composers whose work demonstrates the dynamic muscularity of this Jewish art movement in its prime and its influence on American theater, radio, and screen.
