Champion will discuss “food deserts” and the mobile market innovation he led to solve them. The lecture will also focus on a paradigm shift that has taken place over his twenty years of work in some of the toughest urban communities in the country. Champion argues that this shift is the key missing ingredient that will allow socially conscious individuals to successfully address the myriad of social and economic issues that plague urban communities across the United States.
