Description
The first two lectures of this illustrated three-part series explore women in Norse myth and legend, the archaeology of Viking burials, female warriors and colonists, and women in Icelandic sagas and law. The last one focuses on the position of women and their major roles in modern Norway, one of the most gender-equal countries in the world. Instructors: Peggy Hager, Jane Schulenburg.
