With the rapid changes in the economies of urban India, young men and women face new possibilities of work and life-worlds. In this talk, Ray explores the stories of young men and women who migrate to Bombay in search of jobs in the entertainment industry and draw out the differential nature of their challenges as they seek to make new lives for themselves.
