Description
The 9000-year-old Pope Site of Wisconsin represents one of only a handful of Paleo-Indian ritual sites ever discovered in the Americas. Artifacts uncovered by the landowner continue to raise intriguing questions about Native American perceptions of the afterlife and connection to place. Come hear Ray Reser of the UW-Stevens Point Museum of Natural History present the latest research on some of the oldest evidence for religion in North America.
