James W. Loewen, author of the bestseller Lies My Teacher Told Me.
Reception to follow in Atrium.
From Vasco da Gama to George W. Bush, what US history textbooks tell -- and what they leave out -- amount to "white history," not just "history." James Loewen will show that an entire era has pretty much been omitted, an era that has left two important legacies to us today, perhaps especially in Wisconsin. He will also suggest what audiences can do about these legacies.
