Virginia Vargas, internationally renowned human rights defender visits UW-Madison campus as part of the Soffa lecture, a lecture devoted to female human rights activists. Vargas, founder of the Center for the Peruvian Women "Flora Tristan" and UNIFEM awardee, will discuss her trials and struggles as a human rights activist and how to help. Please join the Division of International Studies to celebrate human rights with Virginia Vargas.
