					Description

Geographic location is an important part of public health. However, precise geographic locations of people are usually restricted due to concerns of confidentiality. Matt Moehr will review IRB and HIPAA regulations around geographical identifiers and ask questions about balancing risks with the potential benefits from research. Moehr will share examples from research and experience working at the Survey of the Health of Wisconsin that demonstrate the challenges in finding this balance.
