Results of Recent Survey and Excavations along the Western Shore of Lake Koshkonong in Southeastern Wisconsin

Jennifer R. Haas of UW-Milwaukee Cultural Resource Management presents the results of new research and excavation along the shores of Lake Koshkonong, just south of Madison. Re-investigation of many sites first identified over a century ago reveals evidence of Early Woodland, Middle Woodland, Late Woodland, and Oneota occupations. Despite extensive urban and residential development, many sites remain intact.
