Newborn Screening for Severe Combined Immune Deficiency (SCID)

Mei Baker will provide an overview of SCID (sometimes known as "Bubble Boy Disease") and discuss the use of real-time PCR to identify babies with the disorder, as well as the application of this technology for screening testing in a high-throughput newborn screening laboratory.
