Professor Tolman is nationally and internationally recognized for his research on violence prevention, including efforts to engage men as allies to prevent violence against women. He received his Ph.D. in social welfare from UW-Madison in 1984.
His talk will focus on a current global study on how organizations engaging men in gender-based violence prevention conceptualize and operationalize their work.
