The ability to compose an argument is among the essential skills expected of UW–Madison graduates. But how does one create a strong, effective structure for sophisticated academic arguments? In this workshop, we will review the classic three–part structure of argument–driven essays (introduction, body, and conclusion), and then refine our understanding of common rhetorical moves within those parts.
