Michael Trick, PhD is the Dean of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar and the James H. and Harry B. Higgins Professor of Operations Research in the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. Based on experiences scheduling Major League Baseball, their umpires, and many college sports leagues, he will outline in his presentation some recent computational advances, primarily based on combinatorial Benders method.
