Description
Please join Assistant Professor of Political Science Jordan Gans-Morse, Northwestern University, as he presents on his recently published book. The effectiveness of property rights is often depicted as depending primarily on rulers' "supply" of legal institutions, overlooking the crucial importance of private sector "demand" for law. In this talk, Gans-Morse will unpack the demand for law in Russia to clarify why firms in various contexts may turn to law for property rights protection.
