The University of Iowa produced high-resolution daily forecast products using the Weather Research and Forecasting model coupled to Chemistry (WRF-Chem) modeling system during the Lake Michigan Ozone Study in 2017. This talk will present model strengths and weaknesses, especially in relation to the sensitivity of ozone production in the model, as well as insights into biogenic and anthropogenic sources.
