Description
"Gendered Casualties" examines the connections between 1970s feminist activism and sexualized violence against women during the Oct. 6, 1976, massacre as a trauma that refuses to be forgotten but cannot be articulated. Women involved in the social movements during the 1970s were disciplined first by the operations of nationalism employed by the national security state and were later marginalized by leftist fractured memories about the 1970s.
