A public lecture with Dr. Patrick Deneen, based his much-discussed 2018 book "Why Liberalism Failed", on how the rise of populism might renew mixed government. Professor Deneen is a prominent political theorist and associate professor of political science at the University of Notre Dame. This event is co-sponsored by the Tom Sawyer Society and the Center for the Study of Liberal Democracy.
