Description
Concepts of sustainability are examined and linked to the conservation of Laguna Bacalar, Mexico’s 2nd largest lake. It sits within an environmentally sensitive corridor dynamically connecting regional groundwater flow, high and low growth tropical forests, freshwater/seawater mangroves, deep cenote sinkholes, estuarine gradients, and fringing reef of the 1000 km Mesoamerican coral barrier reef.
