Afro-Contemporary Dance Masterclass

This class, taught by Associate Professor Chris Walker of the Dance Department, is designed to expose and reaffirm the physical effects of traditional African music, dance and aesthetics on contemporary and popular dance. Dancers will be engaged in a process of exploring important characteristics of African dance vocabulary to express a range of movement from traditional to popular and contemporary expressions. Students interested in this class should have previous dance experience!
