The UCL-Lancet Commission on Migration and Health: Political Determinants of Health of a World on the Move
A Special Global Health Tuesday Seminar
Tuesday, March 12, 2019
Migrant health depends on many factors, and poor living conditions, psychological stress, trauma and limited access to medical care can especially impact well-being. Michael Knipper, a member of the UCL-Lancet Commission on Migration and Health, discusses the structural, legal and political factors that affect migrant health through a lens of commitment to human rights. Knipper is a physician, medical historian and anthropologist, at the University Justus Liebig in Germany.
