Description
Lovers of nature, amateur astronomy and wild places can still find and enjoy pristine dark skies, but the search (and the drive) may take longer. John Rummel, astrophographer and former president of the Madison Astronomical Society, will focus on issues related to locating the remaining dark sky enclaves that can be found within the continental United States (including right here around S. Wisconsin), and some of the logistical and planning issues involved in getting to them.
