Framed by Boccaccio’s Decameron, a collection of tales set during the Plague, this exhibit highlights holdings in Special Collections about Italy, its history, language, and culture. Books & manuscripts on display (in Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Latin) date from the Renaissance through the 20th century. Installed in conjunction with the triennial conference of the American Boccaccio Association (Madison, October 3-6). Local conference sponsor is the Department of French & Italian.
