React: Fashion Stream

Headlines and history; colors and textures; intellectual explorations and lived experiences all spark our imagination. Through music, movement and narrative, React will explore the ways we, as designers and students, respond to the world around us. 

This online design and fashion event features creative works by 32 students in the Textile and Fashion Design program. This year’s ground-breaking virtual student collaboration includes original music by students in UW’s ‘18-19 The Studio cohort. A Video DJ from UW’s Division of the Arts live mixes video clips, images, and music that students have created within the protocols of social distancing.

Threads Design and Fashion Event 2020: React is presented by the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s School of Human Ecology with the support of the Division of the Arts.
